Actress Michelle Collins (Cindy Beale, 1988-1998) in her foreword reveals how she is amazed that fans won’t let her character disappear from consciousness, while former BBC honcho Mal Young in his Foreword from the Executive Suite tells of his appreciation for what is not any mere fanzine. Gazette co-founder Dan Abramson analyzes in detail the classic “two-hander” of Dot and Ethel reminiscing about World War II. Other fans detail why certain episodes and scenes are their favourite. Walford Gazette Editor & Publisher Larry Jaffee recounts how he was banned from the studio for publishing photos of an American woman who talked her way into the set, how he was eventually welcomed many times, tangled with the powers-that-be over the BBC America cancellation, corresponded with Rupert Murdoch, and led a fan effort to reverse cancellation on the New York public TV station. There are reviews of EastEnders spinoffs, related TV shows, films, CDs and book. Fans tell how they met the actors behind Alfie Moon, Angie Watts, Pauline Fowler, Cindy Beale, Pat Evans and Peggy Mitchell. Renown musician Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith Group) and his wife Stephanie explain how EastEnders saved their marriage twice!
